The world is not as beautiful as it was Tuesday morning after the loss of Charles “Raymond” Zeltman, 80, of Mt. Airy, MD. A great friend, husband, father and man, he will be dearly missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Many remember Raymond as a farmer or cattleman, but most remember him as an incredible person with an unforgettable laugh and an unwavering fighting spirit.
Other than Jean, his wife and “Queen” of 58 years, Raymond is survived and loved by his daughters Mandy, Millie, Marty and Missy and their spouses John, Ethan and Mike. “Gramp(y)” is also survived by grandchildren Brett, Jodi, Jeremy, Ryan and Morgan in addition to his sister Mary Ellen and brother William.
A memorial service will be held 3p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the Mt. Airy Bible Church, with a pot-luck to follow.
In memory of Raymond’s love of God, and passion for 4-H and livestock judging, the family wishes that any donations be made to:
The Maryland 4-H Foundation

To the Zeltman Family:
The Harshman family is saddened to hear of the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. I (Pam) remember Mr. Zeltman from when Jodi showed steers at the Frederick Fair and from seeing him attend Morgan's livestock showing/judging events. He took such pride in seeing his grandkids exhibit livestock and was an active cattleman in the Angus industry.

His indeniable laughter and broad smile will be sorely missed by the 4-H community and the Harshman family.

We will be out of town on Sunday, but our thoughts and prayers will be there in spirit as your family remembers and celebrates his life.

Thinking of you all....The Harshmans

i''m sorry for the loss to your family. Mr Zeltman was a very nice man. I remember him from Southern States in Gaithersburg when he would deliver our hay and straw. He would yell at me for unloading the truck with him. He was always in a great mood and very nice to talk to. Take care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
