Mr. Donald Donnie Christopher Penn, 29, of New Windsor, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2007. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart Angie ( Shry ) Penn.

Born on June 24, 1977 in Silver Spring, MD he was the son Jeanne Fletcher and Donald Allen Penn and wife Betty Jane Penn.

Donnie grew up in the Mount Airy area and was a graduate of Linganore High School, Class of 1995.

He was employed with Century Ford of Mount Airy. He was mechanically inclined and as a child enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together.

He and his dad were just beginning the restoration of his 68 Firebird. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was a practical jokester and was a reliable friend.

Surviving beside his wife and parents are his daughter Hayden Elizabeth Penn, whom he loved and cherished, a sister Wendi Nicole Penn, paternal grandparents, Margaret Elizabeth and Melvin Lee Penn, a great aunt, Clara Siss Shipe, uncles; Jerry E. Penn and wife Joanne, Blair L. Penn and wife Vida, aunts; Patty Powell and husband Ronnie, Susanne Breeden and husband Warren, great uncle Robert F. Wyatt and wife Barbara, good friends Jimmy Ward and George O'Brien.

Donnie will also be remembered by Angie's grandmother Frances Nanny McDonough , whom he had a special relationship with.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents,
Mabelle and Charles Gibby

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy on Friday, June 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main St., Mt. Airy with Rev. John R. Seltzer officiating. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Penn Family Memorial Fund, c/o Wachovia , 19708 Germantown Rd., Germantown, MD 20874.

Today I think of you even more then I normally do Donnie. I miss you my Friend. Life was a much more simple time back then and I certainly wish you were still here and part of my journey. You will forever be with me in my heart.
