Roger Dale Robinette, 59 of Walkersville, MD died tragically in a car accident on Friday October 2, 2009 at 4:20pm.

Roger was the son of the late Mary (Ranels) and Daniel Robinette of Bedford, PA. He is survived by wife Lori Adele (Sparks) Robinette, brother Daniel Robinette of Dover, PA., sister Debbie Rogers of Harrisburg, PA., and Aunt Kay Catanese of Bedford, PA. Roger was the loving father of 8 children; Jeremy Robinette, Matthew Roger Robinette, Jessica Luann Robinette, Selene Elise Sparks, Travis Roger Robinette, Joseph Daniel Robinette, Benjamin Zane Robinette, and Rex Cooper Robinette. Also surviving are Granddaughter Kloey Robinette and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was a 1968 graduate of Bedford High School, Bedford, PA. He received an associates of Arts degree in Media Technology from Allegheny Community College, Cumberland, MD., in 1978.

Roger was a decorated disabled Vietnam Army Veteran, who served from 1969 to 1971.

Roger was employed as a Media Specialist with the Montgomery County Public School system for 26 years, most recently at Springbrook High School, Silver Spring, MD.

Roger was a brave passionate man who stood for his beliefs and he was not afraid to correct injustices. He loved God, family, fishing, music and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. His motto was keep looking for rainbows.

Visitation: Friends may call from 2-9pm on Friday October 9, 2009 at Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.

Services: The funeral will be held on Saturday Oct 10, 2009 at 11:00, at Fredericktowne Baptist Church, 8645 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD 21793. Officiating the ceremony will be Pastor Les Sims and Roger's Father-in-law Rev. Hayden L. Sparks.
Interment will be in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville.

Roger's wife and children would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers be sent to 8824 Eureka Lane, Walkersville, MD 21793.
