Gary, Paula, Laura and Danny's family,

I ran into Danny a few years ago at a teacher's meeting and was pleasantly surprised to see him. I am sure he has touched many lives being a teacher and a fun-loving guy.
The sadness of this loss must be overwhelming for all of you.
All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Peggy

I first met Dan at Tuscarora High, and was struck by his dry, and excruciatingly witty sense of humor. I was delighted when he became AP at Middletown High at the same time my son began 9th grade. Dan was so caring to him, and was an outstanding role model. He took time to get to know the students, and was able to relate to them on a personal level. Many lunch shifts were spent discussing the individual tallies on Fable. I think the sadness with which the student are left is a testament to his effect on their education. Dan, you are a fine gentleman, and have a special place in my heart.

Dan Mullins was my English teacher at Frederick High school. He was also my friend in the end, though I wish I could have gotten to know him better. He was funny, knew how to teach a class, and was respectful to us. These traits are the ones I liked most about him. I will be there for both the Visitation at the funeral home, and the memorial service at the church. I am very sorry to the family of Mr. Dan Mullins.

Dear Delia, Oliver, Angella, & family members,

I am grieving so heavily , for you, for me , for our neighborhood, for our schools, for all who knew and loved Dan. I am praying that God wraps His loving arms around Dan, in Heaven, and his family, here on earth. I wish I could be there, I am so sorry that I will be out of town for another week and so I will miss the services. If there is anything, at all, that I can do, I will be home on the 19th. I'm glad to have Elvis and Stella or do anything that would help your family or friends.

I am so, so sorry,

As a former colleague at Frederick High, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dan's death. He really was a fun co-worker to have in our English department. So sad, so sad...

I am so very sorry for your loss.

I met Dan at my interview at MHS. All of the doors were locked and I stood there trying to get one to open. Luckily, a gentleman (Dan, as it turned out) arrived, made a hilarious comment, and opened the one door I hadn't yet tried...he truly eased my nerves before the interview. My first day, I realized Dan was one of my new APs...he remembered me from the interview and made me feel very at home at MHS. Dan was a great AP and will be remembered fondly as a witty and encouraging leader.

It deeply saddens me to hear of the untimely passing of Mr. Mullins and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends.

As a former student of Mr. Mullins, I can say he was the teacher you wanted to have in all your classes. He had the ability to engage you and make you really care about what was happening in the classroom.

It is a gift not too many teachers have anymore and it hurts in a place you cannot touch to know that such a wonderful person is no longer with us.

To Dan's family,

Dan was my AP at Middletown High School, and soon became my friend outside of work. I loved his dry, witty sense of humor and his creative spirit. We shared many laughs together. When I had an extended illness a couple of years ago, Dan came to my classroom EVERY day to check on me or my substitute, thus, I learned what a kind human being he was and continued to be. His positive attitude was infectious, making undesirable times a little more desirable. May you and your family and Dan know peace now and as you proceed through this journey. Dan is loved, he will be missed, but he will not be forgotten.

Mullins Family,

I am so very sorry for your loss. I will remember Dan for his fantastic sense of humor, intellect, and insight. Without his friendship, my first few years of teaching would have been much more difficult. He was like a big brother to me then and I regret that we drifted apart the past few years.
Dan and I sold tickets for Frederick High sporting events together and I remember a patron questioning the price of the tickets ($4) stating that it was much too high and that it was 'ridiculous'. As the man took out his wallet and continued huffing, Dan told the gentleman that "every dollar goes to support high school sports. Would you rather pay the four bucks or not have any high school athletics?" The man paid without any more complaints. Dan had a way of putting things into perspective.
My heart is saddened at the news of Dan's passing. I wish I could've hung out with him at least one more time.

Dear Paula and Gary and the entire Mullins/Stern/Goodhue family:
I am saddened beyond words for your loss. I have so enjoyed looking at the photos and reading the condolences of former students; they provide an endearing picture of the kind of man Dan was. He touched so many lives--what a legacy. I hope this will help each of you find peace.

Mullins Family:

My family is deeply sadden by Dan's passing. I worked with Dan at Frederick High School when he first was here and again recently. He taught my son at Tuscaroa and my nephew at Frederick. Both remember him as one of their favorite teachers. I personally loved his dry sense of humor. I received a text from my nephew last night and he said that Mr. Mullins was one of his favorite teachers and that he helped him find his yearbook when someone took it. Praying for you all.

Dan was one of my AP's at MHS when I was a counselor at MHS and also my son's administrator. He became one of my dearest friends. When we both left MHS at the same time, we kept in touch by having dinners each month with our friends. He also sent me my favorite candy, fireballs and dots with notes of encouragement to my new school to remind me to keep my head up because he was the only one who really knew how badly I felt about leaving MHS. He was there for me during some of my darkest times and I would like to think I was there for him. He will remain in my heart and I will remember him forever. Your loss is our loss. We grieve with you. Rena Egan

So very sad to see of Dan's passing. We met recently in a co-parenting class and he had a strong impact on me and others in the class. You could really see how greatly Dan loved his children and how much he was missing them. My deepest condolences to his children and family. Such a tragic loss. Keeping you all in prayer.

Dear Angella,

Almost every year since you moved away from Keene, Dan has emailed me to ask about principal jobs up here. I never had any news for him. But today, I found out about an opening, and so I found the last email he had sent me, and responded. I was surprised when it bounced back to me, so I looked him up and found myself at this page.

I am so sorry, Angella. My prayers are with you.

Jan
