David Robert Elwood, born January 17, 1964 in Istanbul, Turkey, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the age of 53 at the Kline Hospice House in
Mt. Airy, Maryland, with his wife and mother by his bedside.

Two of David’s proudest moments in life were bowling a perfect 300 game and having the opportunity to go black bear hunting.  David was an accomplished fisherman and hunter.  When it came to bowling, David knew how to read the lanes and understood the oil patterns.

David is survived by his wife of 27 years Mary Elwood; his mother Beryl Elwood; his father Robert Elwood; his brother Stanley Elwood and wife Krissy; his sister Jane Craver and husband Kirk; nephews Justin and Schuyler Mares and
Nolan Elwood; niece Kristen Johnson;  several great nieces, nephews, his friend, hunting and fishing buddy, Jim Cornett and the two best dogs in the world - Buster and Coco.
