I just learned of Mrs. Cooper's passing. My children are in high school now but spent many years at Parkway and I even stopped in last summer to give her a graduation announcement for my son and she remembered me. Her smile, her voice, all of it was such a light in that small office. I am sure she is deeply missed at Parkway and everywhere she went. My condolences to the family and everyone she graced with her elegant presence.

I just loved Debbie!! I work in central office and would speak with her on many occasions...she always greeted me with "How are you my friend?" She was one of the sweetest and kindest people. I am so glad I was able to speak with her not long before the holidays. I was away last week when I learned of her passing, and I am sorry I missed her service. Sending prayers for her family and many friends - she will be missed terribly.

Debra was one of kindest ladies I had the pleasure of working with at FCPS. She helped me when i first started as a secretary at South Frederick, now Lincoln. We had so many great conversations at training meetings. She could always make me smile. She was truly one of the best Secretaries and friend to all. She loved her job and was the best mentor to me. Prayers for her and her family. She truly will be missed.

A really sad time, one of the sweetest people I've ever worked with and I always enjoyed our conversations. I'm so glad I got to see her a couple weeks ago. My condolences to the family.

Debbie worked with me at Waverly and Yellow Springs Elementary schools. She was an outstanding administrative assistant as well as becoming a great friend. Debbie was always such a professional in working with staff, students, parents and community. Her sense of humor was wonderful and she made you laugh at just the right moment. I am very sad to hear of her passing and even more so that I will be unable to attend her celebration of life since I am away. Debbie will certainly be missed.

Debbie Cooper was the one ‘seasoned’ admin secretary that reached out to me when I first got hired. She told me to call her anytime I needed anything or had any questions. So, I did just that. And she gladly helped me with whatever I needed … EVERY SINGLE TIME!

She was such a God send to me …

Debbie (Super Cooper!) always made me laugh on the other end of the phone. (I work in the central office at FCPS and spoke with her often at Parkway.) I never once heard her complain throughout her fight; she always had a smile in her voice and a funny comment. My deepest sympathy to Debbie's family. Know that she will be missed here at FCPS.
