I am saddened to hear of Lou's passing. He had a long and useful life. I have fond memories of picnics at his farm and of having had the privilege of working for his wonderful firm

It was my good fortune to know Lou Best and work with him through his active involvement and participation in the local Maryland Builders Association. He helped develop a nationally recognized energy conservation program for new homes as well as high quality standards for home building. He was a true gentleman.

My sincerest condolences on Lou's passing. I did not know Lou, but of the firm that he co founded as result of my affiliation with the civil engineering firm of Gutschick, LIttle and Weber. As having lost my life partner a few years ago now, I can begin to understand the grief that you are going through. Keep family close and God bless.

Lou was a great man and person. He was one of the most intelligent, professional and kindest person I have known, and always had time to answer my many questions.
Lisa and I thank you for everything you have done for us and our family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my friend, Lou. My condolences go out to Madeline and all the family. I enjoyed many wonderful times with Lou on the golf course in Maryland and at their home in Florida. Lou was many things in his life but most of all he was a gentleman. I hope he and Joe have already gotten in a few rounds of golf together! Rest in peace my friend.
