I worked with Mike for many years. He was always ready to go, ready to get things done, a great work ethic. He also cared about my family in the best way. We used to have a great time at the Frederick Fair; he proved to me that the crab cakes were the best!
Although we hadn't seen each other in years, I will miss him, and think about him often.

I did not know Mr. Powers. However, after reading about his life in his obituary, I wish to thank him for his life of public service. Not everyone can be a first responder; it takes a special kind of person. He was that kind.

I met Mike in the 70's when i went to work with the Board. Coming from the outside he helped me adapt. I had a lot of respect for Mike. He loved talking about his family and grandkids. He was always laughing and had a good heart. We will miss him. Our sincere condolences go out to you all. May your memories help you through this time. Love Donna and Bill Pope
