We recently learned of Nick’s untimely death and are both shocked and saddened. In addition to our condolences, we would like Nick’s family to take some small comfort by acknowledging the help and positive change Nick provided to our family with his work in the addiction space. We are but one instance of, we suspect, innumerable other individuals and families impacted by Nick’s service. He truly made a difference and impacted so many in such a short period as he pursued his calling. In memory of Nick’s work in the ibogaine space and his passion for spreading the benefits of this treatment we have contributed to the IBOGA SAVES gofundme initiative. We would encourage others to do likewise as tribute to Nick.

We are so sad for you and your family to have lost your son so early in life. We can't imagine the loss you are feeling. We did not know Nick nor know of him. However, after reading your beautiful short story of his life, we feel that we could almost touch his spirit and try to comfort him. Thank you for sharing his story. Sending hugs and love to you and Martin.

I was a member of the Oakdale Marching band for four years during high school. I was in the Drum Line and we've had many instructors come and go throughout those years. However, Nick really stood out to me in a way that nobody has forgotten. He was very knowledgeable and just fun to be around. He always had a sense of humor during the season and kept things light which I think made us better by not taking some things so seriously. He is quite relatable too, because he and I both saw as living in the present most important in living a happy life. Of all the instructors, he kept things the most fun for me and I appreciate all he did for the drum line and for being himself no matter what.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nick was a magnificent and caring person. I haven’t been in touch with him for many years, and it was so amazing to read that he had overcome his addiction and was giving back to that community. I bet he has helped so many people.

I won’t be able to be at the service on Sunday, and your family will be in my prayers. My condolences.

Kate, we have gotten each other through tough times in the past, but none as tough as this. I wish so much I was there to hug you and just be there when you need me. Even though I am far away, I am always just a call away no matter what time. My love to you, Cullen and his wife and children, and Ben.

We were saddened by the news of Nicks passing. I have fond memories of Nick throughout the school years. Danny and Nick hanging out at the house sometimes Ben would come with him and even his dog Sunshine ( I think that was his name). Danny and Nick would play chess or Nick would jump on Mr Dans drums. Nick was pleasant and always smiling. A handsome, talented young man gone to soon. My heart and prayers go out to Kate, Mark, Cullen, Ben and all the family. Rest In Peace Nick
