Patricia Ann VanDuzerMarch 29, 1953 ~ November 16, 2019 (age 66)
Patricia Ann “Patti” VanDuzer (nee Burczak) of Frederick, MD passed away on November 16, following a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Binghamton, NY to the late Joseph and Joan Straka Burczak and grew up in the Binghamton area. She graduated from Catholic Central High School. Patti, Patti Ann or PVD as many called her, worked for many years as a Developmental Aide for Broome DDSO. While living in Binghamton, NY Patti raised her family was active in the St. Stan's PTA and was a member and active volunteer with the Kopernik Society.
Patti enjoyed her time living in Portland, OR. She worked as a Developmental Aide for several group homes throughout Portland. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and volunteer for various activities at St. Philip Neri Church. Also while she lived in Oregon she enjoyed many family trips to the Pacific Ocean and this began her love of toasting the sunset each day with a glass of chardonnay.
Patti predeceased by her husband Paul G. VanDuzer. She is survived by her children Elizabeth A. VanDuzer of Ithaca, Paul J. VanDuzer (Nanaan) Portland, OR, Andrew M. VanDuzer (Ashlie) Frederick MD, Amy Fifth-Lince Portland, OR. Beloved Grandchildren Meshach Fifth and Everett Fifth-Lince Portland, OR and Timothy and Alora Frederick, MD. Brothers, Michael (Wendy) Burczak Rotundo, FL, Joseph D. (Amy) Burczak Henrietta, NY, John (Tracy) Burczak, SC. Sister-in-law, Martha White Cicero, NY and several extended family. Close friends, Ma Jenny Fifth Gibson PA, Patty and Larry Vouzzo Binghamton, NY, Barb and Billiam Portland, OR and Charlotte Sullivan Frederick, MD. Beloved for granddaughter Kitten Kat VanDuzer Ithaca, NY.
A funeral mass officiated by Father Joseph Marcoux, will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 309 Siena Dr., Ithaca, NY. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m.until the time of the service.
A memorial service will be held on December 13, 2019 at FCF Church, Frederick, MD at 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Cumberland Valley Inc. or Hospice of Frederick County, The Barnaba Music Fund at St. Catherine of Siena Church Ithaca, NY or a Charity of one’s choice.
