Prue was dear to me. She was my yoga teacher, and later we spent time together discussing her deep learning in different faith traditions and how they all led her closer to Christ. I miss her!

To our dear friend Prue,
We were on our way to see you at the Country Meadows on 8 April 2019
but mistakenly we had entered your previous home address in our GPS.
Quite amazed, we were standing in front or your previous home, we called
your dear daughter in law Elaine who conveyed to us the sad news of your
sudden passing that day in the morning.
Prue, you were a very unique lady in so many ways!
I (Gerda) met you in India at an Ahimsa Seminar in 1983 and from there on
our friendship kept growing also with Jim, my husband, who adored your
intelligence, charm and wit.
Prue, you are engraved in our hearts!
Gerda and Jim
Our condolences to the entire family and a special thanks to Elaine who kept us in the

As leaders of the North Bethesda Middle School PTSA, we were very saddened to hear about the loss of Mrs. Kester. What a remarkable life! What a remarkable person! She leaves an incredible legacy, part of which (Dr. Smith) benefits the students in our school every day.

I am remembering you with fondness and love, my friend, Prudence. Your life touched so many, including me. Our time together was always memorable and engaging. Intelligent, wise, funny, delightful, kind, generous, and luminous, you changed life for the better. My heart goes out to your three children and all of the family. May peace come to all, with comfort and lovely memories. My love to all!

My dear, dear friend Prue - I wish I could say how important she was in my life, but to call her my friend is truly enough. I have missed her, and will miss her, but I know wherever she is, she is happy - as usual! I'm so happy to hear that Q is being cared for - I know this has to be hard on him too. Much love to all of you and deep sympathy.
