Dearest McCauley Family,
I am so sad to learn of Mr. McCauley's passing this past week. It is so very difficult to capture all my thoughts about who Mr. McCauley was and what he meant not only to me but to our whole family. We moved into 320 Willow Avenue in 1965, and up until my own father's passing in 2015 we were great neighbors. I can remember so often how both my father and mother would say how great a blessing it was to be neighbors to Mr. and Mrs. McCauley. Though I moved away in 1982, every time I came home, Mr. McCauley ALWAYS made the effort to come outside to say "hello" and spend some time visiting. In later years it was always a privilege to come inside the house and visit both of them. I consider it a very high honor to have known Mr. McCauley and will always remember his friendliness and smile he had on his face when we spent time visiting. Perhaps no human words can bring total comfort at this time in your life, but if my thoughts and prayers have any substance they will be lifted up to the Lord for your great comfort, peace, and joy as your GREAT husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend is treasured always.
With sincerity and love,
John Routzahn, Clarksville TN
