Alexander S. Wilson, 16, of Frederick, MD, passed over to the Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Born on June 29, 2003 in Tver, Russia, he was the loving son of Maureen (Wathen) Wilson of Frederick, MD and Scot Wilson of Hollsopple, PA.

Alex’s adventurous love of life and inquisitive nature made the ordinary extraordinary for those who knew him. He was always ready for a good-natured debate on Roman history. His adventures varied from trying different ethnic foods, traveling to new places, to participating in a new sport.

Alex was a member of Boy Scout Troop 48 - St. Katharine Drexel Church; Civil Air Patrol Frederick Composite Squadron MD-003 and was working towards achieving his black belt in karate.  He was an active member of St. Katharine Drexel Church whether it be helping with the Frederick Soup Kitchen; delivering food and clothing donations with his mom; assisting in the nursery; altar serving; or helping with the video ministry.

Alex attended St. John Regional Catholic School from pre-K through 8th grade and was a current student at Oakdale High School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his niece Thalia Wilson, honorary nephew Jaxon Leichliter, sister Stephanie Wilson, maternal grandmother Connie Wathen, paternal grandparents Dale and Rhea Wilson, many aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins.

Alex was preceded in death by his sister Ashley Wilson, maternal grandfather Truman Wathen Jr., aunt Denise Wathen, special cousins Doug Brown, Daniel Brown and Joshua Holton.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Leache, Jacob Lyons, Max Piraino, Greg Vaudreuil, Scott Anderson, Dalton Miller and Jim Miller also serving will be John Stuckey as an honorary pallbearer
