Betty Lou Breese (born May 13, 1927) passed away November 13, 2021 at the age of 94, at the Elmcroft Assisted Living in Hagerstown, Maryland.
She was married for 46 years to her high school sweetheart, Lawrence Odell Breese, from February 13, 1946 to January 9, 1993 (until his death).
Betty Lou had a very full life. Throughout her life she had many pursuits. She was an artist, a dancer, a seamstress, a women’s gymnastics coach and judge, and finally, a Scottish Terrier owner, groomer, and breeder. Of all her pursuits, her greatest joy was her dogs. She bred and showed her Scottie dogs for over 50 years.
Betty Lou is predeceased by her parents Newton Vincent and Laura Eleanor (McClymonds) Loucks; and her brother, James V. Loucks.
Betty Lou is survived by her son, Newton Breese and his wife, Robin; and her daughter, Candace Roat, and her husband, James.
She has three grandchildren, Erin (Breese) Hammon and her husband, Blake, James Roat and his wife, Kari, and Regan Roat. She has three adorable grandsons, Maxwell Roat, Noah Roat, and Ilan Hammon.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in May 2022.
Final arrangements will be announced closer to the exact date.
