Charles G. "Felix" Grimm, 85, of Boonsboro, Maryland, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his home.

Born on April 20, 1926 in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Lester and Vada (Beachley) Grimm.

Mr. Grimm was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy.

Charles was a 34 year retiree from Halls Motor Transit Company in Hagerstown.

Mr. Grimm was a lifetime member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post #10 in Boonsboro.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther E. (Shoemaker) Grimm; four children, L. Diane Kendle of Boonsboro, Robert Grimm, Darlene Pfaff and Patricia Bussard, all of Hagerstown; one sister, Mary Hepner of Boonsboro; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Marie Witek, and his brother William Grimm.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.  Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies with military honors rendered by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post #10 will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
