Adam Kieffer, born on December 2 1981, in Grofton, Connecticut, passed away on January 31, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Known for his love of outdoor activities and his dedication to serving his country, Adam will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
From an early age, Adam had an adventurous spirit. He found solace in nature and cherished moments spent camping with his family and fishing with his children. The memories created during these special times will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who joined him on these idyllic outings. Additionally, Adam found joy in the soothing sound of crashing waves as he spent time at the beach.
After graduating from High School, Adam enlisted in the US Navy to fulfill his desire to serve his country. He underwent rigorous training as a Fire Control Technician and proudly served aboard the USS Ohio. His dedication and commitment to duty were evident throughout his military career. Following his service in the Navy, Adam continued contributing to the Navy's mission as a civilian employee. His devotion to the well-being of his nation was unwavering, leaving an indelible mark on those he worked alongside.
Adam's memory will forever be carried by those closest to him. He leaves behind a loving family: his wife Sara Kieffer, whom he married in 2011; their children Elizabeth and Ethan Kieffer; his father and step-mother; siblings Benjamin (Alexandra) Kieffer and Laura Kieffer. Additionally, he is survived by nieces and nephews, who will cherish the moments they shared with their beloved uncle.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Terri Kieffer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 10, 2024, at the American Legion located at 8 Park Ln, Thurmont, MD 21788. The service will begin at 1:00 PM. This gathering of family and friends will provide an opportunity to honor Adam's memory and unite in shared remembrance.
In Adam's absence, may we find solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind. The impact he made throughout his life will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, dear Adam; your spirit lives on through those you loved and inspired.
