Adam Provost Meredith

April 15, 1971 — December 11, 2023

Frederick

Adam Provost Meredith--a devout man of faith, dedicated family man, brilliant entrepreneur, and loyal friend--peacefully returned to his Maker after a fierce three-year battle with cancer. He passed into God’s arms without reservation at his home surrounded by his loving family. Adam, age 52, was born on April 15, 1971, in New Haven, CT. Adam was the only son to his beloved late mother, Sheila P. Meredith, and his surviving father, David R. Meredith.

Adam formerly resided in Wolfeboro, NH. and moved to Frederick, MD, in 2013 with his beloved wife, and their two sons. Adam rapidly embedded himself within the community and had an endless vault of talents and passions which he selflessly shared, particularly in his leadership role at Celebrate Recovery ministry.

He held a unique perspective of the world around him and was fond of taking things apart and putting them back together again. Food held a special place in his heart, and he was well-known for his love of both cooking and eating. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he always told a good joke that left everyone laughing. He loved being competitive in games, and enjoyed testing his luck and staying true to Black 11 at the roulette table.

Adam began his education at the University of Colorado, earning his undergrad in Political Science and Economics. In 1999, after earning his MBA/MSF in International Business from Boston College, Adam began his banking career at Eastern Bank. Soon after, his passion for cars inspired him to co-found the automotive distributor TJM Motorsport in Concord, NH. Adam loved and knew his cars and was known to grab the best auction deals at 3am.

Adam also held a passion for flying. Adam's dream to become a certified pilot came true when he left his position at Eastern Bank and entered pilot training at Flight Safety International in Florida in 2006 where he earned his Commercial Pilot Certificate. His love for planes and finance brought him to Santander's Aircraft Lending Group in Manchester, NH, as a senior lender. He was recruited by Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association in 2013 to form a new member services group as President of AOPA Finance, where he helped it grow to the largest aircraft financing broker in the nation. He proudly represented AOPA as a board member of National Aircraft Finance Association for two terms from 2015 -2021. This fall, however, he completed his most loved project of all: fulfilling his lifelong dream of designing and building a home for his family and a barn for his cars.

Adam was a man dedicated to his family, especially his wife of 16 years, Anna Irena Meredith, whom he met at a wedding in Key Largo, FL. Adam was invited and Anna was not, but their chance encounter was the beginning of a true fairytale love story. Adam was also an unwavering pillar of strength and love to his sons Donald Provost (15), and Karl Herbst (14). He loved attending their sporting events and supporting them in any way possible. Adam delighted in going skiing, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, and vacationing around New England with his family, where no one ever knew what set of wheels he would choose to arrive in.

His passion to deepen his faith became an inspiration to many, especially through his struggle with cancer. His relationship with God played a vital role in maintaining peace within himself and among his family and friends, no matter what came his way. He was and is a beacon of faith, family, ambition, courage, love, and resilience, and his gentle personality continues to resonate within the hearts of everyone he encountered.

In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by his father, David R. Meredith; his sisters, Kerri Meredith (Tom Lanzarone) of Greenwich, CT, and Ali Moseley (Guyon) of Driggs, ID; his much-loved aunt and uncle, Linda and Jim Makee; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whose lives he deeply touched.

Love God, live in the moment, have no regrets, and do not be afraid to follow your dreams.

This is the legacy Adam Provost Meredith is forever leaving behind.
