Alamedia H. Moxley

Alamedia H. Moxley, 101, of Mount Airy, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Hanford E. Moxley who died in 2007.

Born on March 31, 1924, in Marriotsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. Grant and Anna A.Bidinger Grant.

She was a 1941 graduate of Lisbon High School.

Alamedia was a lifelong beautician and owned her own hair salon. Later she obtained her teaching credentials in cosmetology and was a substitute teacher at South Carroll High School.

She enjoyed flowers, quilting, bowling and most of all caring for her family.

Surviving are two daughters: Deborah A. Mielke and Stan of Gaithersburg and Holly Hubble and husband Robert of Monrovia; a granddaughter, Jenna Kuschmider and husband Chester of Monrovia; two great grandchildren: Kylie and Carter Kuschmider. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene McCracken and her son Michael McCracken.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday, August 25, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy. where a celebration of Alamedia's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 26. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy.
