Albert E. (Bud) Arvin

Mr. Albert E. Bud Arvin, 88, of Jefferson died on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of Mary S. Stottlemyer Arvin , his wife of 61 years.

Born on July 20, 1918, in Brunswick, he was the son of the late Albert and Jessie May Baker Arvin. Bud was a self employed welder. He loved listening to and playing country music, excelling on most string instruments and the harmonica. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing; and, as a welder making metal items for friends and for fun.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Barbara Smith and husband Frank of Braddock Heights and Shirley Zimmerman and husband Dave of Frederick; a son, Ken Arvin of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Barbara Dicken and husband Tim of Frederick, April Graham and husband Erik of Brunswick, Trent Zimmerman of Knoxville, Dawn Kline and husband David of Mt. Pleasant, Ed Zimmerman and wife Stacy of Hagerstown and Eric Zimmerman of Frederick; five great grandchildren, Rosa Shull, Shannon Kline, Dallas Kline, Payton Zimmerman and Aniston Zimmerman; a sister, Alma Stokes of Frederick. Mr. Arvin was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Arvin, a sister, Iola Zimmerman, and brothers, Wilbur C. Arvin and Arlington Grove Arvin

Visitation: Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick. Rev. Tim May of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, Burkittsville, will be officiating.

Services: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, January 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick, Maryland.
