Allen James Stright

Allen James Stright, 81, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease End Stage Dementia.

He was born on August 30, 1944 in McKeesport, PA, the son of the late Alexander William Stright and Margaretta Miller Stright.

Allen has a twin brother, Alex Stright of Spring, TX; and a sister, Mary Lou Shaw of Middletown, CT.

He joined the US Navy in 1962 and served until honorably discharged in 1965. Allen served aboard the USS Conyngham DDG-17 as a EM3.

Allen married Catherine Jane Diggins on May 9, 1965 at South of the Border in Hamer, SC. They had two children, Thomas Allen Stright of Conroe, TX and Beverly Rae Wastler of Rohrersville, MD.

In addition to his brother, sister, and children, he is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He worked as an Electrician at Eastalco in Frederick after serving an apprenticeship at Westinghouse Air Brake in Turtle Creek, PA.

Allen especially loved fishing and camping.
