Ann Shirley Utterback, 96, of Rohrersville, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Fahrney - Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro. She was the wife of the late Layon Utterback, who passed away on May 18, 2018. Born on November 6, 1929, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of Howard Franklin Wheeler and Esther Rose (Haley) Wheeler.

She was a graduate of Brunswick High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Petersville, and later attended St. James Catholic Church in Boonsboro.

She is survived by sons: William Utterback and wife Sue Ann, Christopher Utterback and wife Donna, Stephen Utterback and wife Belinda; Grandsons: Bradley Utterback and wife Emily, Shane Utterback, Todd Utterback and wife Robin, Tyler Utterback and wife Elizabeth; Great-Grandchildren: Noah Utterback, Lilah Utterback, Emmah Utterback, River Utterback, Luke Utterback, Logan Utterback as well as several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John "Jack" Wheeler and Franklin "Gene" Wheeler, and a special cousin, Tommy M. Seitz, Sr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, from 10 to 11 AM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Petersville.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
