Anna Gerhart

On Monday February 6, 2023, Anna (Anastasia) Gerhart entered Heaven the way she lived her life; with courage, dignity and grace. 

Born on February 15, 1938, in Macedonia, Greece she was the daughter of the late George  Paraskevopoulos and Theodora (Hordevora) Paraskevopoulos. Anna was born with the heart of a lion and unrelenting determination, "all people die but not all people live".  She was a strong-willed proud Greek American woman who never excepted being told no or that she was beaten.

 This was evident as she battled cancer to the very end; cancer did not beat her. Anna faced cancer head on, unafraid and armed with the love of Jesus Christ.  Although we may no longer physically see Anna, we believe she has left an indelible mark on all of us lucky enough to have known her.  She would want us to find comfort in knowing she is free from pain.  
She is survived by her son, James Gerhart, her cousin Elaine, nephews Nico and Theo Mitsinikos of New York.

The family will receive friends and host a viewing from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 920 W. Seventh Street in Frederick, MD. 21701

 A celebration of Anastasia's life journey will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church.  Father George will officiate.  Burial services will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
