We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Aphrodite "Nancy" Tripiotis, 87, of Ocean View, DE on August 10, 2026. Aphrodite was born on October 16, 1938 in Sparta, Greece to John and Efthemia Foundas and was sister to Jimmy, Dino, Chris, and Nick, and step-daughter to Georgia Foundas.

Aphrodite was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend, who was well known for her sweet disposition, kind smile and positive attitude. Her moments were spent with her beloved husband, children, and extended network of family and friends, which later grew to include her many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Whether it was lounging on the beach, long walks around the neighborhood, or traveling to visit friends and family, Aphrodite made sure to live her life to the fullest. She will be missed dearly by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

She is survived by her children, Christine (Glenn), Efthemia (Robert), and Vasilios; her grandchildren, Katherine, Georgia, Andrew, Andreas, Gabby, Katie, Dustin and Kristy; and her great-grandson Kaine. In addition to her parents, stepmother, and brothers, she was preceded in death by husband, Andreas Tripiotis and her grandchildren, Anastasia and Jimmy.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 18 from 6-8 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 19 at 10:00 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 920 West Seventh Street, Frederick. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Aspen Hill.
