Arthur Hollis Dee, passed away on May 10, 2026 in Frederick Maryland, with his wife, youngest daughter and her family by his side.

Beloved husband of Bonnie (Grayson) Dee, father of Elizabeth Dee and Meghan Dee Ewin (husband Josh) and grandfather of Thomas, Ella and Leo Ewin.

Arthur was born in Hartford City, Indiana and is preceded in death by his parents Kathryn Hollis Dee, Leo Richard Dee and his brother Leo Richard ‘Dick’ Dee. He grew up in Dunkirk Indiana where he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Grayson, and was blessed to have had 56 years of marriage together.

After attending college at Purdue University, Art and Bonnie moved all over the mid and eastern United States in support of his career in purchasing. They settled in Frederick Maryland in 1999 and have developed a wonderful community of friends and neighbors.

Arthur was an active member of his community, serving on the St. Johns Cemetery Board of Directors, a Eucharistic Minister at St John’s Catholic Church and as a member of the Frederick Airport Commission.

He had a passion for travel, having traveled all over Europe, the Caribbean and Central America as well as travels all over the United States.

His sense of humor, smiling face and generous heart will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial mass honoring Arthur’s life will be held on July 11, 2026 at 12 noon at St. John’s Evangelist Church in Frederick followed by a reception at his home. Graveside services in Hartford City Indiana will follow later in the year.
