Mrs. Barbara A. Ward, 79 of Adamstown, MD., died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Ward.
Born April 24, 1930 in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Worman Thompson.
Mrs. Ward was an avid swimmer and a silver life master bridge player.
She retired in 1997 from Penniman and Brown in Baltimore.
She is survived by her children J. Brooks Ensor, Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Deborah Snyder and husband Claude of Berlin, MD, and David S. Ward and wife Rebecca of Monrovia, MD, grandchildren Rebecca S. Mathews and Brooks R. Ward, great grandchildren Andrew J. Mathews, Maggie Mathews and Julia Matthews, and her sister Nancy Foley of Bonita Springs, FL.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Andrew D. Snyder.
Services: Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Buckingham's Choice, 3200 Baker Circle, Adamstown, MD
