Benjamin L. Clements, 76, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, MD. He was the husband of Wendy Clements his wife of 50 years.
Born on February 21, 1950, in Lancaster, SC, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Clements and Donnie Deese Clements.
Ben was a 1968 graduate of Elkton High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Ben was the owner operator of Clements Sawmill in Mt. Airy, taking over operations after in father passed away in 1983.
He enjoyed heavy truck hauling, working on the farm, sports cars and attending horse racing with his dad. He had a kind soul and would help anyone who needed him.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Jennifer Clements and fiance' Lyn Windsor of Urbana; his brother Kenneth Clements and companion Mary Russell of Mt. Airy, a sister-in-law Sandy Clements of Clarksburg; a nephew Scott Clements and wife Teresa of Georgia and a niece Navada Pleasants and husband Bill of Woodbine as well as an uncle Jerry Clements and wife Diana of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Clements and a nephew Bryan Clements.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM on Friday, July 31, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, where a celebration of Ben's life will begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD.
