Bernard L. "Bernie" Jenkins, Jr. 59, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9th, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Shelley Jenkins. Born on November 16, 1957 in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Bernard Lane and Margaret Helen VanDerbeek Jenkins.
Formerly of Montgomery County, he followed in his late father's footsteps as a Master Plumber.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Bridget Jenkins, step-daughter Jennifer Peat and sisters Barbara Gallahan and her husband Ed, Peggy Jenkins and Helen Jenkins as well as nieces Kim Bernhardt, Danielle Sampson, nephew Ed Gallahan and great nephew Marquette Sampson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
