Bertha Patricia Morgan (Boone)

Bertha Patricia Morgan (Boone), age 87, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 27th at Northhampton Manor Nursing Home. Born on October 1, 1938, in Frederick, she spent her life in the community she proudly called home.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Meredith Biser Boone and Bertha Iola Dodd Boone; her son, Clayton Edgar Morgan; her grandson, Kaylan Tyler Morgan; her former husband, William Edgar Morgan, her dear friend Milton Vane, as well as all of her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Gregory William Morgan; Steven Eric Morgan (Brigette); and Kristi Stevenson (Ben). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Morgan (Sarah), Sarah Morgan (Clay), Kamren Morgan, Jade Hansen (Matt), Jacob Morgan (Destiny), Tucker Morgan (Candice), Luke Makowski (Becky), and Katherine Stevenson, as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Bertha was employed for many years as a seamstress at H.L. Hartz and later with Frederick County Public Schools, where she worked until her retirement. While she was dedicated to her work, Bertha will always be remembered as the heart of her family and for her exceptional cooking, which brought family and friends together and created countless cherished memories.

Bertha’s life was defined by her devotion to her family, her strong work ethic, and the love she shared so generously with those around her. Her legacy will live on through the generations she helped shape.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a celebration of Bertha's life journey will begin at 1 pm.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
