Betty J. Young

Betty J. Young, 97, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was the wife of the late Donald L. Young.

Born on March 12, 1928, in Woodsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Doral Leona (Speak) Hoff.

Betty worked for Montgomery Wards as a Sales Clerk. 

She is survived by her grandchildren, Travis Michael Main, Donald Lee Young, II, Jenifer Renee Mastrino, and Rebecca Ann Lauterbach; great-grandchildren, Eli Jesse Lauterbach, Sidney Lee Lauterbach, Benjamin Lee Young, Kayley Nicole Main, Kristina Michelle Mastrino, Raelyn Elizabeth Pattison and Madison Ann Young; siblings, Eugene David Hoff, Annabelle Mildred Mills and Barbara Lee Frock.

She was preceded in death by her children, Jerry Douglas Hoff, Ronald Lee Young, and Patricia Kaye Young; granddaughter Laura Michelle Pattison, and her siblings, Amos Fern Hoff, Jr., Charles Oliver Hoff, Howard Atlee Hoff, James Murphy Hoff, William Franklin Hoff, and Ada Kathleen Beard.

Services and interment will be private.
