Betty Jean McQuin Padgett

Betty M.  Padgett, 99, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 5, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born on November 24, 1923, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Byron McQuin and Gertrude Isabelle (Hawkesworth) McQuin.

She was the loving wife of Bertie Lee Padgett, his wife for 49 years.

She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family.  She looked forward to shopping trips with her daughters and hosting family gatherings. 

She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Roark and partner, Roger Tabler, Sherry J. Grimes and husband, David Grimes; grandchildren, Jeffrey Roark and wife, Nikki Roark, Sarah Wagner and husband, Ryan and their children, Amelia and Austin, Tyler Grimes and wife, Melissa Grimes.  

A private service will be held with the family at a later date.
