Betty Bland Peterson

Betty Marlene Bland Peterson, born August 5, 1937, in Richmond, Virgina, died August 30, 2025, in Frederick, Maryland at the age of 88.

She was the daughter of Lucille Matthews and Clarence Gray Bland. Survivors include her sons Larry Speck (Amy) and Brian Speck (Karen); her grandsons, Benjamin Walker, David Speck, Joseph Speck (Selena) and Daniel Speck (Alexis); and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Walker, Kiera Walker, Aria Speck, Orion Speck, Eliza Speck, and Amelia Speck.

She was predeceased by her husband Harold Peterson.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Friday September 5, at the Glade Valley Cemetery on Glade Road in Walkersville.
