Betty Thornley
October 31, 1925 — June 1, 2016
Betty Paylor Thornley, 90, of Gaithersburg, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Lorien Taneytown. She is the loving wife of Bert Thornley for 69 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Bert, Jr. of St. Leonard, MD, Bob of Martinsburg, WV, Rick and wife, Anita, of Damascus, MD, Lori and husband, Mark, Goldenthal of Frederick; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granchildren; and sister, Florence Wood of Kissimmee, FL.
Betty was preceded in death by a son, Rusty; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg.
The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
The family requests casual attire for services.
