Blanche Ridenour

Blanche Marie (Jones) Ridenour, 80, of Crystal Falls Drive in Boonsboro, passed from this life on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her home.
Born on May 1, 1931, in Chestnut Grove, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Lillian (Metz) Jones. Her husband, Earl C. Ridenour, Sr. preceded her in death in 2004.
Blanche had been formerly employed as a Nurses Aide at Garlock Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, and with Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village and Reeders Memorial Home, both in Boonsboro.
She is survived by her son, Gerald "Purr" Ridenour and his wife Debbie of Boonsboro; two brothers, Leonard Ebersole of Keedysville, Maryland, and Harry Jones of Hagerstown; one grandson, Gerald "Jerry" Ridenour and his wife Sara of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania; and two great-grandsons, Jacob and Ethan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Blanche was preceded in death by her son, Earl C. Ridenour, Jr. in 2010; a brother, David Ebersole; and two sisters, Ruth Davis and Lena Ridenour.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the funeral home.
