Bonita Kay Cunningham

Bonita Kay Cunningham, born February 5, 1939, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Hagerstown. A proud graduate of Greencastle High School class of 1957, Bonita dedicated her career to nursing. She served patients with care and compassion at Washington County Hospital and the Maryland Correctional Facility. Beyond her professional life, she enjoyed painting and was an avid fan of the Raiders and a dedicated member of the First Christian Church of Boonsboro. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Tad Cunningham; her grandchildren, Caroline and Whitney Cunningham; and her sister, Janet Miller. Bonita’s life was marked by her devotion to family, service to others, and personal passions. At her request, no services will be held. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and service will be held at a later date.
