Mrs. Brenda Lee Smith, 67, of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was the loving wife of James W. Smith (Billy) for 30 years.
Born October 6, 1949, in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara Wagner.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Sherry Bass, Theresa Davis, John Beltz and wife Tiffani, Timothy Smith, Amy Albaugh and husband Kevin, Kelly Mercer and husband Bill, and eight grandchildren Dustin, Devin, Amber, Cody, Kaylee, Gavin, Jonathan and Bradley.
Brenda loved living in Mt. Airy on their property named "Over the Hill". She was an avid Hot Rod enthusiast who together with her husband traveled to many car shows with their Mama’s 55 Thunderbird and the green 41 Willys.
The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm, with memorial service at 6 pmWednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Frederick County.
