Bruce Eugene Nissley, a veteran, loving husband and father, and avid golfer died Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his home in Frederick, MD at the age of 99. He was the loving husband of the late Arlene Nissley. They were married for 70 beautiful years until her passing on July 12, 2014.

Bruce was born on June 12, 1923, to the late Harvey Garrett Nissley and Velma Irene (Nace) Nissley in Bachmanville, PA.  After graduating from high school, Bruce proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II.

Bruce was devoted to his family and is survived by his three children: Dennis Eugene Nissley and wife Betsy; Sandra Kay Helton and husband Steve; and Judy Lynn Stonestreet and husband Curtis, along with four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews who loved him deeply.

Bruce's passion was golfing with his wife. They would often spend time on golf courses throughout their travels together making unforgettable memories. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his family, watching them grow up to become successful adults.

Bruce's legacy serves as an inspiration because of the love he gave to everyone around him. His warm smile would brighten anyone's day as he welcomed them with a genuine heart. Bruce will be missed dearly by all those who knew him.

A private graveside service will be held on May 23rd at Quantico National Cemetery. While we are saddened by his loss today properly let us celebrate the positive impact he had on our lives. We know that Bruce will continue to live through our cherished memories of him as we keep him close in our hearts forever.
