Bruce A. Phillips

Bruce A. Phillips, 76, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Northampton Manor Health Care Center in Frederick. He was the loving husband of the late Beverly Phillips, who predeceased him in 2024.

Born on April 22, 1950, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Phillips and Dolly Belle (Hook) Phillips.

Bruce obtained a Master's Degree in Communications from The Ohio State University. He worked as a successful salesman in the telecommunications field, culminating as the Senior Vice President of Sales.

Bruce was a devoted and loving husband and father, a member of the Church of God, and a Past Master Mason of the Henrico Union No. 130. He enjoyed playing and listening to music, was a voracious reader of poetry and classic literature and held high esteem for the arts. He enjoyed travel, new experiences and cultures.

He most enjoyed being an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing, (especially the bay) were his most favorite pastimes, with the exception being spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Bruce A. Phillips II and wife, Gail; daughter, Heather Nicole Demory and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Jenna and husband, Waylon; Erica, Jacob, Elizabeth and Rhealynn; and great-grandson, Camden; and siblings Steve and wife Lynn; Mark; Jon and wife Carla.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Stauffer Funeral Home,1621 Opossumtown Pike, in Frederick, MD.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim May officiating.

Interment will be at Glade Cemetery in Walkersville, MD.
