Camillo William Martel

Camillo William Martel, 79, of Severn, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, February 19, 2024 at his home. Born on July 29, 1944, in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Camillo John Martel and Margaret Martel née Fernandes, he became a Certified Computer Programmer. His passion for cars led him to work in the auto repair industry in the DC area for 50 years. He loved sailing, Shakespeare, poetry, history, and storytelling. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Yvonne and Julia. He will be fondly remembered by his children, C. John Martel, II and Jelia Martel Tarrant and six grandchildren, as well as siblings, Edmund, Stephen, Wendy and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

A celebration of Camillo's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, with the family receiving friends from 10 to 11.
