Carmen Lee Lincks

Carmen Lee Lincks, 76 of Brownsville, MD, passed from this life on Saturday January 6, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Carrie Ann Lincks for 56 years. Together they created so much life and allowed the past to be bridged to the future.

 Born on June 30, 1947, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Thurston and Hilda (Darr) Lincks. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma, Freida, Gene, Carol, and Greta. 

Carmen worked in Frederick MD for Lafarge North America, where he retired after 34 years as a heavy equipment operator.  He also served as a grievance officer and was the Vice President of the U.S. Steelworkers of America, Local 81A. Carmen was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Rohrersville, MD. Carmen‘s true passion was being an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Theresa Lerch and husband Eddie, Nancy Lewis and husband Bobby, Jeffrey Lincks, and wife Diane, Cresta Lincks and son-in-law Jim Bowers. Grandchildren Amber and grandson-in-law Matt, Gregory, Jenna, Allyson, Garrett, Brie, Chloe, Kaiden, Jayce, Ryan, Dylan and Madi; great-grandchildren, Skylar, and Mason. Pap loved all his grandchildren dearly and they all loved him just the same. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews who all adored him. 

 Carmen will be missed for his sense of humor, outgoing personality, and fairness to all. 
 The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.

 A celebration of Carmen's life journey will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home.  Pastor Regina Beard will officiate.  

 Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Locust Grove in Rohrersville, MD.
