Carol S. Burnette, age 68, of Adamstown, Maryland, went home with the Lord peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025. Carol was born on March 21, 1957 in Germany.
Carol was a devout Christian and believed in the Lord as her Savior when she was 10 years old. She was a member of the National Christian Choir. Carol was a realtor and broker and the president of Spiritsong Enterprises, Inc., a professional real estate and broker business. She was a graduate of Hood College with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts. Carol was a charter member of the “Circle of Friends.” She truly loved life and made everyone smile and laugh. She was a courageous person in her battle with cancer and an inspiration to all. She was an accomplished stained-glass artist and designed gorgeous pieces. Carol also designed and sold beautiful custom-made jewelry. She was also an accomplished piano player and would often play at churches and weddings. She was a passionate supporter and contributor to Samaritan’s Purse. She loved traveling, bowling, playing board games, card games, gardening and being with her beautiful grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Jonathan Burnette (Sarah) and Christopher Burnette (Loan); and three grandchildren, Annie, Lily and Samy. Carol is also survived by her brother, Robert F. Snyder, Jr., (Eileen); and her sister, Kathie J. Marion; and many nephews and nieces; and great-nephews and great-nieces. Carol is also survived by her loyal and devoted friend, Dan Loftus.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Robert Franklin Snyder and her mother, Lillian Nice Snyder.
Thank you cannot be overused to the many wonderful and loving friends and neighbors who knew Carol and looked in on her. The family would like to thank Right at Home and Frederick Health Hospice and all the special caregivers for their compassionate, dedicated, and comforting care during Carol’s final days.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial to follow the services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.
