Carol Ann Getzandanner

Carol Ann Getzandanner, 72, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away on September 16, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Nelson Getzandanner.

Born on September 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. Boyer and Dorothy Nusbaum. She was school bus driver for the Frederick County Public School system for around 35 years before her retirement. When she was not at work, she enjoyed camping and loved eating crabs. She enjoyed going up with her friends at the arc pool and would often go with her friends to celebratory birthday dinners.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Gary Wayne Getzandanner (Tammy), Michael Dewayne Getzandanner (Cynthia) and Tammy Lynn Keeney (Kenny); grandchildren, Darin, Brandi, Michaela, Kendra McAfee (Justin), Jacob Kenney and Kynlee Kenney. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Zen, Vienna, Riley and Wyatt and her sister Sylvia Burrier as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Maurice Boyer and Betty Brauning.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 22^nd, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, September 23^rd. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
