Carol Braun Kline

Carol Braun Kline, 65, of Rosemont, MD, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 while surrounded by her family.

Born on December 30, 1957, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward George and Dorothy Rakowski Braun.

Carol proudly earned degrees from Frostburg State University, both a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology and a Master’s of Business Administration.

She spent several years after graduating college working as a biological lab technician. Carol then moved into a 38-year career with Hewlett-Packard Company, where she worked in contracts administration while making lifelong friends along the way.

There was nothing more important in life to Carol than her family. She enjoyed forty wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Dana, with whom she lovingly raised her two sons, Derek and Gregory. While she was not a sports fan, Carol made it a point to never miss a single one of her sons’ games. She had many hobbies and simple pleasures in life-playing piano, sewing and crocheting, reading, summer trips to the beach, and her daily walks around the neighborhood to name just a few. In recent years, Carol was blessed with two granddaughters, Olivia and Evelyn, whom she cherished deeply. She spent countless hours with the girls as they grew, helping them with crafts, baking and decorating cookies for every holiday, playing their favorite games, and picking blueberries in summer.

Surviving her are her husband, Dana Kline (married in September 1983), sons Derek (wife Janet) and Gregory (wife Adrienne), and granddaughters Olivia and Evelyn. She is also survived by her siblings, Dr. Robert Braun (wife Linda) of Georgetown, TX, Mary Stangl (husband Joseph) of Lincoln University, PA, Bill Braun (wife Ilene) of Columbus, OH, and Stephen Braun (wife Cynthia) of Newport News, VA.

Carol never missed an opportunity to laugh until she cried, tell her loved ones how much they meant to her, and pursue the things in life that brought her joy. Her warm and selfless presence will live on through all of those lucky enough to know her.
