It is with profound sadness that the family of Carole Ann Bush announces her passing on May 18, 2025, at the age of 83, peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Carole Ann Bush was born in Syracuse, NY on February 13, 1942.Carole Ann Bush was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion and faith.

Carole Ann Bush was known for her unwavering strength and boundless generosity, a true embodiment of kindness and warmth.

Carole Ann Bush was a pillar of her family and her church community. She volunteered her time, finding joy serving the church blood drives and lecturing at mass.

Carole Ann Bush was a talented artist, known for her vibrant watercolor paintings.

She is preceded in death by mother, Margaret Katharine Wolford, father, Cyril Joseph Wolford, siblings Delores Wolford, Thomas Wolford, Robert Wolford, James Wolford and daughter Bonnie Bush-Schaffer.

Carole Ann Bush is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Frederick Bush, her sons and daughter in-laws, William and Betty Bush, Scott and Cassandra Bush, 7 grandchildren, Michael, Brendan, Ashleigh and husband Justin, Jacob, William, Gwendolyn, Elliott, and son in-law James Schaffer, sister-in-law Beverly Wolford, as well as, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family invites you to her viewing on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Home in Thurmont, MD from 5:00-8:00 PM.

A mass in her honor will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Emmitsburg, MD, at 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Thurmont, MD at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, gifts or condolences, we humbly ask that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and St. Anthony Shrine & Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Parishes.
