Susie Ickes

Carole “Susie” Ickes, 81 of Boonsboro, MD went home to be with Jesus on April 7, 2026. For anyone who knew her, it is impossible to speak of her without speaking about Jesus. Her life serves as an example of what it looks like to love Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. She was unashamed and unapologetic about her love for Jesus. She did not have to know someone for very long to share with them how much Jesus loved them.

Susie spent over 35 years in the medical field serving as a medical secretary for several doctor’s offices in the Hagerstown area and finished her career at Washington County Hospital. She and husband Marvin were charter members of Faith Christian Fellowship in Williamsport, MD where she played piano and taught Children’s Sunday School until 2020. She was a leader in the Boonsboro Good News Club for many years.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. She is survived by husband Marvin, her three sons: Andy, Eric, and Brian and their families, three brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of her life at Faith Christian Fellowship at 16726 Lappans Rd, Williamsport, MD 21795 on April 18, 2026, at 2:00pm.
