CATHERINE EMILY SHAMBLEY
(Age 94) on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 of Gaithersburg, MD. Born September 27, 1922, in Wilkes Barre, PA, to the late David Dehaut and Anna (Pahler) Dehaut. Beloved wife of the late Cleveland “Popeye” Shambley. She is survived by two daughters; Lisa (Jim) Butler, and Patsy Vaszil, one nephew; Michael (Barbara) DeHaut, two nieces; Linda (John) Salmons, Marsha (Jerry) Dorfman, three grandchildren; Courtney (David) Webster, Meghan (Dave) Sweigart, Derek (Lindsay) Vaszil, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many neighborhood friends. Catherine retired from Safeway in 1986 after 30 years of service. Per her wishes, services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Frederick County, MD. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at www.staufferfuneralhome.com.
