Charles André Bénet

Charles André Bénet, a long-time resident, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the age of 85, surrounded by his family. He was born in Geneva, Switzerland and moved to the United States in 1966. 
His career as an aerospace engineer allowed him to fulfill his love of travel. He lived and worked throughout the United States. Charles was passionate about music, especially from his native country Switzerland. He was active at the local gym and volunteered at St. Michael’s Church.
Charles leaves behind his loving wife, Elsbeth (Rawyler); his three children, Eric Bénet (Meike), Michèle Ronquillo (Ron), Nathalie Mackerer (Carl); and his five beloved grandchildren, Marvin, Nicole, Matthew, Ryan and Kevin. 
Friends and relatives are invited to the funeral mass at 11 a .m. on Monday, August 7, 2023 followed by burial at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michael’s Road, Mount Airy, MD.  Live streaming of services will be available at this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOdZ3NcvZs9_fuiVl7uFzlg
