Charles Leroy Fritz, Jr.

Charles Leroy Fritz, Jr., 65, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his residence in Mount Airy. He was the husband of Dorothy Fritz his wife of 47 years.

Born on February 13, 1957, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles Leroy Fritz, Sr. and Hilda Elizabeth (Carpenter) Fritz.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and riding his motorcycle, but truly loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Chasity Dawn Sirk and husband Warren of Thurmont and Shelby Covey and husband Jason of Mount Airy; four grandchildren: Kayla Shipley and boyfriend Austin Mack, Lilah Covey, Aliyah Covey and Trey Covey; two great grandchildren: Axel Mack and Rian Mack; a brother Jerry Fritz and wife Lynn of Mount Airy; two nieces: Trishia and Chrissy Fritz. He was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Haines.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28, at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mount Airy.
