Charles Edward Rudy

Charles Edward Rudy departed from this life Tuesday, May 21, 2024 after a short stay at Frederick Health Hospital.
Born on a farm outside of Middletown, Maryland on October 25, 1939 to parents Ralph R. Rudy and Naomi M. (Lambert) Rudy, both presently deceased. Predeceased also by two siblings, Wilmer Rudy, Frances A. (Rudy) Fox, and a son, David C. Rudy.  Lovingly remembered by one sister, Marilyn (Rudy) Leatherman of Myersville, MD as well as many nieces and nephews.


Charlie leaves behind his devoted wife of 33 ½ years, Kathleen J. (Grossnickle) Rudy of Frederick, MD.  Charlie was friendly and outgoing throughout his working career, employed for many years by Wickes Lumber Company of Frederick and more recently part-time delivering for NAPA Auto Parts.


Away from his work, Charlie preferred his privacy.  He enjoyed being outside taking care of his home and acreage in the country with family and close friends.

Charlie decided to be cremated and wished no burial or memorial service.  Please remember Charlie as you knew him.
