Charles Strother

Charles Marion Strother, age 87, of Kernersville, NC, and formerly of Boonsboro, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, in Largo, Fla.
Born Aug. 19, 1921 in Martinsburg, WV, he was a son of the late William Edward and Laurel Viola Bailey Strother.
He was a member of the Seventy-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Olive Barney Strother; four children, Charles M. Strother Jr., James Strother and John Strother, all of Kernersville, and Bonny Stotler of Keedysville, MD; one sister, Polly Schaefer of Decatur, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Schaefer and Mildred Fuller, and one grandson.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 9, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro. Ronnie Wooten officiated. Burial was in Mt. Zion Mennonite Cemetery near Boonsboro.
