Cherie Swartz

Cherie Swartz, 93, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living in Olney, MD. She was the loving wife of the late Mason (Bill) Swartz, who predeceased her on January 5, 2023. They were married for 74 years at the time of his passing.

Born on September 18, 1931, in Catonsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert Clifton and Bertha May (Howes) Nash.

Mrs. Swartz resided in Clover Hill in Frederick, MD for 50 years and was blessed with caring neighbors and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and working in her yard.

She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Swartz is survived by her son, Jerry M. Swartz and wife Nancy, and daughter, Kathi Wiles and husband David; granddaughter, Kristin Swartz and husband Dennis Fleming; grandson, Eric Swartz and wife Meghan; and great-grandson, Logan Swartz.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Clifton (Shug) Nash, Jr. and Donald Thomas Nash, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim May officiating.

Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 2805 N. Rogers Ave., Ellicott City, MD 21043.
